Resignation of the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Sukharevskyi: the General Staff denied
Information has appeared in Ukrainian Telegram channels and some media outlets about the imminent resignation of the Commander of the UAV Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi. It was claimed that his candidacy is being considered for the position of commander of a newly created army corps.
However, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied these statements.
«The information disseminated by several media outlets regarding the transfer of Colonel Sukharevsky to another position in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not true», — stated the official report.
At the same time, the General Staff confirmed that Vadym Sukharevskyi’s candidacy was indeed considered for commanding the new corps, but no personnel decisions have been made at this time.
The UAV Forces were created within the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in February 2024, and Sukharevskyi became their first commander.
