The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation want to create a "dead zone" along the coastal strip on the right bank of the Dnipro
Russian military forces are attempting to create a "dead zone" along the coastal strip on the right bank of the Dnipro, constantly shelling it with aviation and artillery.
This was reported by the spokesperson of the Defence Forces of Southern Ukraine, Vladyslav Voloshyn, on the air of "Vhoru".
"Their goal is probably to create a dead zone there — a strip of ruins and debris where no one can hide and there are no fortifications," he explained.
According to Voloshyn, the Russian army does not spare buildings or civilian infrastructure.
"They simply strike to ensure everything is destroyed and burned," he said.
Specifically, Russia is actively using both guided aerial bombs and unguided aerial rockets to strike over large areas.
"This type of weapon is similar to multiple launch rocket systems," added the spokesperson of the Defence Forces.
