A soldier spoke about the situation in the Pokrovsk direction: "Shelling occurs day and night"
The situation on the Pokrovsk direction remains critically tense. The enemy continuously moves, constantly engaging in assault actions, and the shelling does not cease day or night.
This was reported by an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Tsekhotskyi, on Kyiv 24. He emphasized that discussing the situation at the front should be based on official data from the General Staff, as frequent dissemination of information can harm the defence.
Throughout the day, occupiers make dozens of breakthrough attempts – from 40 to 70 attacks. These actions are supported by the continuous use of kamikaze drones and dropping explosives from drones, the military officer stressed. He added that the enemy is once again actively using forest belts, which, with the emergence of foliage, provide more opportunities for covert movement in small groups of three to eight people.
"Movement is ongoing, shelling is continuous, both day and night. Kamikaze drones are constantly launched, the number of drops from drones is not decreasing, and these assault groups. Now greenery has appeared in the plantings, and they, using these plantings as cover, try to approach closer, advance, and so on... In groups, usually – from three, four, five to eight people, they move constantly in such groups," Tsekhotskyi explained.

The officer defined the main tasks for the Ukrainian defenders:
- Monitor the movement of the enemy.
- Neutralize the enemy groups of the Russian army attempting to advance.
The Defence Forces control the situation, destroying the enemy at the approaches, but vigilance must remain acute.
Tsekhotskyi emphasized the importance of using drones to destroy attacking units from a distance.
"Drones are very necessary to destroy the enemy at a distance, preventing them from approaching shooting range and coming close to our positions. In principle, this is working. Despite reports of enemy advances, I would recommend listening carefully to the information from the General Staff. This is the right way," he noted.
The military officer also warned that public discussion of details from the front, especially on air, should be limited to avoid giving the enemy an advantage.
