In the "Azov" corps, a video was shown of the interrogation of three Russian occupiers: they "arrived" on scooters and motorcycles
The "Azov" Corps showed a video of the interrogation of three captured Russian occupiers who attempted to assault the positions of Ukrainian military on the Toretsk direction using scooters and motorcycles.
«Captured on scooters. Interrogation of occupiers from the Toretsk direction. Russian assault groups are using anything with two wheels that goes forward. After such attacks, most occupiers "rest" on the battlefield along with their destroyed equipment. These soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces were lucky. They surrendered to the fighters of the 12th Special Operations Brigade "Azov" and willingly talked about their motorized assaults», — said in the commentary to the video.
One of the captives named Maksim Lyovin said that he decided to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation after drinking with a friend and agreeing with him to do it together. However, his friend did not sign the contract.
Another captured occupier named Daniil Kacharin stated that signing a contract with the Ministry of Defence in the Russian Federation is an opportunity to get a mortgage.
The third captive named Vladimir Astafyev said that he signed a contract with the Ministry of Defence two months ago, receiving 1 million 900 thousand rubles for it.
The video mentions that Lyovin and Kacharin are 20 years old, while Astafyev is 27.
Lyovin and Kacharin said that they assaulted Ukrainian positions on motorcycles and scooters. They described how during the assaults, they and other occupiers were attacked by Ukrainian drones.
Astafyev, in particular, said that he participated in the assault together with a group of 29 occupiers, all of them on motorcycles. The Russian captive admitted that riding a motorcycle was frightening; he was afraid of being killed.
He stated that he signed the contract to "help his family" and claimed to have shot only upwards at drones but did not hit any.
Lyovin reported that Russian military allegedly did not receive food and water for a month and often stayed for long periods in basements, the last time for 25 days. The occupier also mentioned that, when captured, the Ukrainian military fed him and gave him cigarettes. He added that he and a comrade "slightly deceived" the command, saying they were wounded, but still were not allowed to leave the position.
Astafyev claims he was captured when he left the basement, where he had been sitting with other occupiers for two days, to find water.
Lyovin and Kacharin stated that during assaults, they were ordered to persuade Ukrainian soldiers to surrender but then to shoot them. According to them, this made them surprised by the humane attitude of the "Azov" forces who captured them.
Lyovin and Kacharin also claim that they want to be exchanged but no longer want to fight.
Lyovin reported that out of 50 scooter riders who assaulted the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, only he and Kacharin survived.
Astafyev also said that he does not want to return to the war after the exchange and would rather go to prison.
