The vibrant celebration took place back in 2022, but someone held back the video, deciding to release it likely after a similar scandal with the city administration’s party to emphasize certain points.

This was reported by Informator.

The Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) explained the appearance of a video showing an intoxicated celebration in the office of the Tourism Department. In the footage, which surfaced recently, officials are seen celebrating, likely a birthday, right at their workplaces, and at the end of the party, they fall asleep wherever they happen to be, including on the floor. The Deputy Mayor of Kyiv, Maryna Khonda, believes the recording, made in 2022, is being used for a personal information attack against her.

Maryna Khonda wrote about this on Facebook. She noted that several Telegram channels claim she participated in this party (the Tourism Department falls under her responsibility) - but she has never even been present in that office. Unlike the head of the Department, Maryna Radova, who will be dismissed.

"Regarding the head of the Tourism Department: the video is from 2022, but such behavior is unacceptable for a city official. A dismissal statement has already been submitted. She will be dismissed," Maryna Khonda stated in a post.

Regarding other individuals present in the office and who participated in the party, a service investigation will be conducted, which will have appropriate consequences and management decisions, the official promises. In response to Informator’s question about why the head of the Department is being dismissed only now and whether they were aware of the "vibrant" celebration earlier, Maryna Khonda replied that the office is located outside the KCSA premises (physically, the Department is located at 1/2A Baseina St.), and surveillance is conducted using the Tourism Department’s resources.

From this, it can be concluded that the administration at Khreshchatyk, 36, simply did not know about the recording or the celebration itself. Moreover, it is logical to assume someone diligently prepared an informational leak with the party recording at the right moment. Recall that another scandal broke out just recently over the alleged birthday celebration by the First Deputy Head of the KCSA, Mykola Povoroznyk, on a day of mourning for those killed in a Russian attack on Kyiv the day before.

Journalists were able to get into the high-ranking officials’ celebration by chance and caught the city’s leadership "red-handed." Deputy Klychko, Mykola Povoroznyk, later wrote that this story was allegedly helped by the special services. In any case, Informator’s assumption about a planned video leak prepared specifically "for the occasion," to underline the scandal with Povoroznyk, was not confirmed by Maryna Khonda.

"I cannot confirm this yet, but I cannot deny it either," the official replied to Informator.

She herself plans to sue those media and Telegram platforms that reported her alleged participation in the Tourism Department’s party. Khonda noted she has already contacted lawyers and is preparing lawsuits to protect her honor, dignity, and business reputation.
