In the Zakarpattia region, a man died as a result of a grenade explosion

In the village of Rakoshyno in Zakarpattia, one man was killed and another injured as a result of a grenade explosion.

This was reported by the police of Zakarpattia region.

As noted, on the morning of May 3, an explosion occurred in a private house in the village of Rakoshyno in the Mukachevo district.

It turned out that alcoholic beverages were consumed in the house by a 54-year-old and a 50-year-old local resident. During the gathering, the 50-year-old Zakarpattian pulled the pin from a grenade, leading to the explosion. He died at the scene, and his companion was injured and hospitalized.

Investigators preliminarily classified the incident under Part 1 of Article 115 and Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A pre-trial investigation is underway.
