In the Moscow region (RF), explosions were heard during the night of May 4 to 5. In the Podolsk urban district, air defence systems were activated due to the detection of drones allegedly moving towards the capital of the aggressor country.

This was reported by Moscow’s mayor, Sergey Sobyanin.

According to the Moscow city mayor, the military supposedly "repelled an attack by four drones heading towards Moscow."

"At the site of the debris fall, according to preliminary data, there are no damages or casualties," Sobyanin noted.

He added that specialists from emergency services are working at the site of the incident.

Suspension of Moscow airports’ operations

It should be noted that earlier Russian media reported that "Rosaviation" announced the "Carpet" plan at Vnukovo Airport in Moscow.

"Preliminarily, due to the threat of a UAV attack. Podolsk residents report in local chats about six explosions over the city and air defence operations," stated a Telegram channel publication.
