On Sunday, May 4, a house belonging to Ukrainian singer and backing vocalist of the band Ziferblat, which will represent our country at Eurovision this year, Khrystyna Starykova, was destroyed as a result of a Russian shelling. The artist grew up in the city of Myrnohrad, Donetsk region, where her home is located.
The performer reported this horrific news on her personal Instagram page. She shared several terrifying photos where a destroyed apartment building can be seen.

"And I dreamed so much of returning home. It’s hard for me to even comment on all this," said the backing vocalist.

In 2023, Khrystyna Starykova made a strong impression on the show "The Voice of the Country-13." She took the stage with the song JVKE – golden hour and stunned the star jury with an incredible performance. During the "blind auditions," the artist turned all four coaches’ chairs. She then became a super-finalist in the project.

This year, Khrystyna Starykova participated in the National Selection for Eurovision as a solo artist with the song "Rise." However, the singer did not make it to the finals of the national competition, so she joined the band Ziferblat as a backing vocalist.
