The Cabinet of Ministers proposes temporarily confiscating driver’s licenses from men based on a claim by the Territorial Recruitment Centers

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has submitted draft law No. 8082 to the Verkhovna Rada, proposing to allow the temporary confiscation of driving licenses from men who have been restricted by the court from driving vehicles upon the request of the territorial recruitment center (TRC).

According to the initiative, the confiscation of the license can be carried out by the National Police, or the individual must voluntarily submit the document to the relevant unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The draft provides that such restrictions will be applied temporarily, by court decision, and could become an additional mechanism to influence those evading military registration or mobilization.
