A judge from Mariupol received a sentence and a pension: 7.5 years in prison and 100,000 hryvnias per month
The appeal of the High Anti-Corruption Court did not change the in-absentia verdict for the judge of the Prymorsky Court of Mariupol, Ihor Sarayev — 7.5 years in prison, confiscation of property, and a ban on working in the judiciary for another 3 years after the punishment.
His assistant, Tetyana Zolotar, received 6 years in prison. In 2018, they were caught taking a bribe of 15,000 UAH — money was handed over in gloves. Despite this, the old High Council of Justice sent Sarayev into "honorable retirement" with severance pay and a lifelong allowance of 100,000 UAH/month.
Both are wanted after the occupation of Mariupol.
