The HACC has placed Denys Komarnytskyi in custody in absentia
The High Anti-Corruption Court has detained former Kyiv City Council deputy and businessman Denys Komarnytskyi in absentia.
The actual ruling on the in absentia arrest dated May 9 is classified. Komarnytskyi’s defence attorney has already filed an appeal against this decision. The appeals chamber of the HACC has scheduled a hearing for May 28.
The issue of Komarnytskyi’s in absentia arrest was under consideration for nearly two months, from March 17 to May 9.
