Near occupied Mariupol, a Russian Armed Forces base was struck

Ukrainian defenders attacked the positions of the Russian army in the area of temporarily occupied Mariupol in the Donetsk region. As a result of the attack, the enemy has suffered losses among its officer ranks.

During an attempt to repel the attack, Russian air defense hit civilian objects. This was reported in Telegram by the advisor to the Mariupol city mayor, Petro Andryushchenko.

According to him, the strikes on the positions of the Russian occupation army were delivered by Ukrainian defenders on May 18 between 01:00 and 03:00 at night. Andryushchenko specified that the target of the attack was the occupiers’ base in the village of Talakivka.

As of now, there is confirmation of the death of one Russian officer. Several more invaders were injured. Military equipment was also damaged.

Meanwhile, fragments of a Russian anti-aircraft missile completely destroyed a house and a farm as a result of a miss on the drones.
