On Monday, the Netherlands will complete the process of transferring F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine – in total, they promised to provide 24.
This was announced by the country’s Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans on Sunday in the program WNL op Zondag.
The minister reported that the last F-16 from the Netherlands will be officially delivered to Ukraine on Monday.
"This means that all 24 promised fighter jets will soon be in Ukraine," Brekelmans said.
He added that in addition to supplying the aircraft, the Netherlands is training pilots and technicians and sharing military doctrines "so that Ukraine can build modern armed forces that align with the armed forces of NATO member countries."
Brekelmans emphasized that Putin continues to wage his aggressive war. "He shows that he has no intention of seriously discussing a ceasefire," the minister stated.
