People’s Deputy from the "Servant of the People" party, Anna Kolisnyk, decided to prematurely terminate her duties. She submitted the relevant statement back on May 12, and the profile committee of the Verkhovna Rada on Finance, Tax, and Customs Policy has already approved it. The Parliament is to make a decision on relinquishing the mandate on June 2.
Kolisnyk is a lawyer by profession, having graduated from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University with a specialty in "international law." In 2019, she was elected to the Verkhovna Rada from the "Servant of the People" list at No. 94. Before that, she worked as a forensic expert at the Kharkiv Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During her tenure as a deputy, Kolisnyk found herself at the center of several scandals. In October 2019, she did not support the committee bill on combating corruption in the field of property valuation. In 2021, she caused public outcry with her phrase "it’s time to get out of this country," which she wrote during a Rada meeting — the deputy later explained this as a conversation about vacation.
In October 2022, Kolisnyk received a suspicion from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office — she was accused of not declaring two apartments in the capital, a car, and property in Kharkiv. The total value of the undeclared assets amounted to over 4.4 million UAH. In 2023, the High Anti-Corruption Court found the deputy guilty for missing a court session but released her from responsibility due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. Later, the Appeals Chamber of the HACC definitively closed the case.
