Mykhailo Drapatyi was appointed Commander of the Joint Forces

On June 3, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Mykhailo Drapatyi as the Commander of the Joint Forces.

This was reported with reference to the address of Zelenskyy and Defence Minister Rustem Umyerov.

"Mykhailo Drapatyi will focus solely on combat missions and was appointed as the Commander of the Joint Forces to be fully engaged with the front.

As for the Land Forces system, especially tasks related to training, preparation, changes in the TRC, and everything related, another person will be responsible for this."

Umyerov also announced the appointment of a new person in the Land Forces, who will be responsible for recruiting, mobilization, military training, and implementing new approaches in these processes to ensure the quality preparation of soldiers. However, the minister did not specify who it would be or when to expect the appointment.
