Zelenskyy has changed the commanders of the Air Assault Forces and the Unmanned Systems Forces: Apostol and Brovdi appointed
On June 3, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced personnel changes in the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Oleh Apostol was appointed as the head of the Air Assault Forces, and Robert Brovdi, better known as "Madyar," was named the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
«This is also more of a focus on combat issues. The successful experience of the best brigades should be scaled», — Zelenskyy stated in his address.

The former commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Vadym Sukharevskyi, became the deputy commander of the operational command "East." The President emphasized that his new task will be to modernize this direction. Sukharevskyi noted in his final post that he is proud of the first steps of the USF, but his vision of development does not align with the current leadership, and thus he considers it a professional decision to end his tenure.
The commander of the AAF until now was Ihor Skibyuk — he has now been appointed deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Defence Minister Rustem Umyerov emphasized that Brovdi’s combat experience with one of the most successful brigades should serve as a foundation for the development of the Unmanned Systems Forces across the entire army.
