In the Kursk region, Ukrainian Armed Forces have surrounded Russian troops
In the Tyotkino area of the Kursk region, the 56th Air Assault Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces, stationed in the temporarily occupied Feodosia, has been surrounded. The unit has been left without proper supplies, evacuation capabilities, or support that would allow the situation to be stabilized.
This is reported by «Glavcom» referencing a Russian propaganda Telegram channel.
It is noted that the regiment, despite its name, was relocated to Crimea from Kamyshin, Volgograd Oblast, even before the full-scale invasion and is mostly composed of servicemen from mainland Russia.
The coming days could be decisive for the encircled unit. As noted, there is still a chance for a rescue operation or support, but any delay could lead to the complete destruction of the group.
«The situation in the Tyotkino direction is very difficult. The enemy is attacking practically without stopping. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have advanced to the center of Tyotkino, and also from the southeast towards Popovo-Lezhachi. Almost all roads have been cut off: Ukrainian drones and artillery make any supply attempt suicidal. Our forces, mostly paratroopers, are in operational encirclement. Expected decisions on withdrawal or reinforcement are not forthcoming,» the message states.
