The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation announces its readiness to transfer 2,239 bodies of the deceased to Ukraine

The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation announced its readiness to transfer to Ukraine another 2,239 bodies of deceased soldiers.

According to Russian propaganda media, Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinskiy stated that Russia and Ukraine continue to exchange prisoners of war. According to him, urgent sanitary transfers of seriously wounded individuals from the front line have been established.

Medinskiy claims that Russia has fulfilled its promises made in Istanbul and has handed over a total of 6,060 bodies of deceased Ukrainian Armed Forces officers and soldiers to Ukraine. At the same time, according to him, the aggressor country received 78 bodies of deceased Russian military personnel from Ukraine.

Details regarding the identification of the transferred bodies, as previously stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko, are not specified in Medinsky’s statements.
