Former judge Mykola Chaus is serving a sentence in the Mena Colony in the Chernihiv region

Former judge of the Dnipro District Court of Kyiv, Mykola Chaus, has begun serving his sentence of 8.5 years of imprisonment at the Mensk Correctional Colony No. 91 in the Chernihiv region.

Earlier, during the cassation review of his appeal, Chaus tried to seek a transfer back to the Kyiv pre-trial detention center, but the court denied his request.

Let us recall, Chaus was found guilty of receiving an unlawful benefit. The court also ordered the confiscation of his property.
