The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiha, held a meeting in The Hague with EU Defence Commissioner Andrius Kubilius, during which he presented Ukraine’s current defense priorities.

Sybiha reported this on social network X.

The minister noted that the talks with the EU commissioner were focused on the next steps to strengthen the defense capability and self-sufficiency of Ukraine and Europe.

"I acquainted the commissioner with Ukraine’s priorities in the defence sector, which include the creation of long-range radar guidance systems, UAV interception, and a national air defense program," Sybiha stated.

He emphasized the importance of new EU tools such as SAFE and EDIP, as well as the need for their application, particularly to strengthen Ukraine’s defense industry.

"Currently, Ukraine has exceptional opportunities, research and development experience, and unique technologies proven in battle. We agreed on further close coordination and cooperation to enhance Ukraine’s capabilities," Sybiha reported.
