Ukraine’s path to NATO membership remains irreversible. Alliance countries will continue to support the country on this path.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing the closing speech of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the Alliance summit in The Hague.

Rutte noted that NATO countries are committed to continuing support for Ukraine. In particular, they have already pledged to provide assistance amounting to 35 billion euros this year.

Also, according to the Secretary General, the Alliance countries will continue to assist Ukraine in achieving a sustainable peace in the future.

"We stand with Ukraine in its pursuit of peace and will continue to support it on the irreversible path to NATO membership. Today, leaders have agreed on a trajectory that will ensure we can secure our freedom and security for many, many years," he emphasized.
