The Head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Andriy Pyshnyi, published his income declaration for 2024. Journalists noted that he, along with his wife, invests in government bonds denominated in foreign currency, specifically in dollars. His interest in U.S. currency is unlikely a coincidence. It turned out that Pyshnyi’s wife might be involved in the construction business in the United States, and his elder daughter, who owns an estate near Kyiv, has been living there for a long time and previously owned a firm in Beverly Hills.

According to the declaration of the country’s chief banker, his wife, Lyudmyla, is the ultimate beneficial owner of LLC "Brightshow," LLC "Planeta RS Kyiv," and LLC "Planeta RS Borodyanka."

The latter two are part of the "Planeta RS" group of companies, co-founded by the wife of the former head of "Ukroboronprom," Roman Romanov – Lyudmyla Romanova. Interestingly, LLC "Planeta RS Kyiv," where one of the beneficiaries is Andriy Pyshnyi’s wife, is registered in Kherson despite its name.

In 2024-2025, LLC "Planeta RS" actively participated in government tenders. Specifically, it won tenders for the supply of foundational blocks and road slabs in the Kherson region. In 2024, the enterprise associated with the former head of "Ukroboronprom" won tenders in Kherson region totaling 28.1 million hryvnias, including supplies of structures for civilian shelters. In the first six months of 2025, LLC "Planeta RS" won tenders for the supply of blocks and concrete slabs totaling 7.6 million hryvnias. This happened despite law enforcement beginning an investigation into possible price inflation by LLC "Planeta RS." This information is contained in a court decision from April 7, 2025.

In 2023, it became known that the former head of "Ukroboronprom," Roman Romanov, launched a paving stone manufacturing plant in the U.S. "Orange Pavers worth 15 million dollars is the first resident of the industrial park Pocono Industrial, established by four Ukrainians 100 km from New York. In 2021, Romanov and partners acquired 22 hectares on the border of Pennsylvania and New York for 1.25 million dollars. The main advantage of the site is the deposits of crushed stone used in paving stone production. Entrepreneurs invested 3 million dollars of their funds, and attracted another 12 million dollars to Dime Bank under the Small Business Administration program, which compensates part of the interest rate," wrote the Ukrainian Forbes.

Romanov told the publication that about a hundred specialists from "Planeta RS" from Kherson and Borodyanka were involved in the American project. Simultaneously, the Kherson plants have not been operating since the beginning of the invasion, and "Planeta RS Borodyanka," according to Romanov, occupies up to 4% of the market in the central region of Ukraine. In this latter company, the NBU chairman’s wife, Lyudmyla Pyshna, owns a 25% stake, making her a potential co-investor in the multi-million-dollar American project.

The Pyshnyi family is connected to the U.S. by another fact: his elder daughter, Svitlana, has been residing there for an extended period. From 2021 to May 2024, Svitlana Pyshna was a co-founder of BARVI LLC, registered in one of the wealthiest areas of California – Beverly Hills.

According to local real estate sites, the house where the Pyshna company is supposedly located was for sale for 3.3 million dollars.

An interesting detail is that Svitlana Pyshna’s Instagram page contains numerous photos from this very house. Comparing photos from real estate sites and her personal ones shows identical doors and windows. Most of these photos were taken during the period from 2021 to 2024 when the Pyshna firm existed. It is likely that she lived or may still live in this house in a location chosen by some of the world’s wealthiest individuals.

Pyshnyi’s daughter’s business partner in the American firm was a well-known individual – model Oleksandra Suprunenko.

She is the daughter of former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksandr Suprunenko. His brother, Vyacheslav, was married to the daughter of the former Kyiv mayor, Leonid Chernovetskyi – Khrystyna. During the "cosmic" mayor’s tenure, the Suprunenko brothers became owners of a large amount of real estate in the center of Kyiv. In 2012, Vyacheslav Suprunenko was put on international wanted list.

The families of Pyshnyi and Suprunenko have been friends for a long time. Back in 2016, the younger daughters of both – Liya and Dariya participated in beauty contests.

Currently, Dariya Pyshna lives in London and is involved in the arts. She also brings her exhibitions to Ukraine.

In April 2025, the elder daughter of Pyshnyi, Svitlana, living in the USA, became the rightful owner of a mansion of nearly 900 square meters on the dam of the Kyiv Sea. This house is listed in the latest declaration of the NBU head as an unfinished construction project. However, judging by the real estate registry data, it has already been completed.

The mansion is located in the village of Lebedivka, Vyshhorod district, in the Riviera village cottage community.

Since 2019, Svitlana Pyshna has been among the founders of PE "Joy Forest," which manages the Riviera village. Before this, one of the co-founders was the NBU chairman’s wife, Lyudmyla Pyshna.

Among other interesting individuals in this PE is, for instance, former deputy from the Party of Regions and "Opposition Bloc," lawyer for Ukraine’s wealthiest person, Rinat Akhmetov – Yuriy Voropayev. Another co-founder of "Joy Forest" is Volodymyr Limakov, who, through a chain of other firms, is connected with deputy Yuriy Boyko, former head of "Naftogaz" Yevhen Bakulin, and investment manager, owner of "Dragon Capital", Tomas Fiala.

In early 2024, a well-known Ukrainian businessman, Ihor Mazepa, was detained at the Ukrainian border. The investigation considers him the organizer of a scheme to seize lands on which critical infrastructure hydrotechnical structures – Kyiv HPP are located. The case also involves the development of Riviera village, where the NBU chairman Andriy Pyshnyi built a mansion.

In his latest declaration, Pyshnyi mentioned another company in which his wife is a co-owner – LLC "Fidnova." As of March 2025, the contribution of Lyudmyla Pyshna to this firm’s statutory fund is 14.3 million hryvnias. She joined the society in May 2025. The LLC falls under the influence of investment manager Ihor Liska.

Liska, originally from Luhansk region, was once closely tied to Arseniy Yatsenyuk and led the Luhansk branch of the "Front for Change" party. It is known that Andriy Pyshnyi is a good friend of Yatsenyuk, as they studied together at Chernivtsi University. In 2010, Pyshnyi headed the party control committee of "Front for Change." In 2012, when Yatsenyuk’s project merged with Fatherland, Pyshnyi became a deputy from this political force.

Meanwhile, in the career of the business partner of Pyshnyi’s wife, Ihor Liska, there were episodes when he was suspected of collaborating with Rinat Akhmetov. The same Akhmetov, whose lawyer Yuriy Voropayev is now the de facto neighbor of the NBU chairman in the Riviera village.

In addition to the political-business hodgepodge involving Andriy Pyshnyi’s family, it is worth mentioning a charitable initiative, which is incidentally unmentioned in the NBU chairman’s declaration – the public organization "Vidchuy." Since 2016, its co-founders include the NBU head Pyshnyi, founder of the "Tabletochki" fund Olha Kudinenko, and the current head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak. The press has even written that Pyshnyi and Yermak might be compadres. The NBU head denies this.

In conclusion, we have an intriguing picture: Andriy Pyshnyi’s elder daughter resides in Beverly Hills and conducted business with the daughter of a former deputy whose brother was internationally wanted. Meanwhile, she recently became the owner of a luxurious estate near Kyiv, built in a cottage community with "questionable" neighbors and violating permit documents. At the same time, Pyshnyi’s wife runs an active business, with ties that lead, on the one hand, to the USA and the construction of defence structures with overpriced materials, and on the other to Rinat Akhmetov. Add to this a charity with one of the most influential figures in Ukraine today – the head of the President’s Office, and you get an insane combo of essentially opposing political connections. But Ukraine is a land of opportunities. Here, with the right acquaintances, even Beverly Hills would forgive, and discrepancies in declarations would go unnoticed.
