The achievements of Magura drones and intelligence have been included in the Book of Records of Ukraine

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and Magura drones set five records, which were entered into the Ukrainian Book of Records. This was reported by "Channel 24".

All records were achieved in the process of defending Ukraine when fighters destroyed enemy equipment. The military used Magura naval drones for operations, which allowed them to successfully complete the tasks. These naval drones were developed by Ukrainian engineers.

"This multifunctional naval platform has proven its effectiveness and demonstrated that at this time it is the best in the world. Because no one else has been able to sink ships at this stage," said the head of the DIU, Kyrylo Budanov.

Official registration of the records took place at the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Museum, where a separate exhibition dedicated to Magura drones is now presented.

 

Andriy Masyuk, a representative of the Ukrainian Book of Records, noted that DIU operations are unique on a global scale. According to him, Ukraine is capable of creating innovations and thus changing the course of the war.

"This is a colossal work that significantly weakened the enemy fleet and changed the balance of power at sea. You are truly masters of your craft," emphasized the representative of the Ukrainian Book of Records.

 

What records were recorded in the Ukrainian Book of Records

Sinking of combat ships. Thanks to DIU drones, the Russian landing craft D-144 "Serna" (with a BTR-82 on board) and landing craft D-295 "Akula" sank. This happened on November 10, 2023. The drones demonstrated high efficiency in combat operations at sea, and Ukrainian military practically opened a new era in maritime warfare.

2. The first downing of a combat aircraft using a sea drone. "Group 13" of the Ministry of Defence DIU conducted an operation to destroy a Russian Su-30 fighter over the Black Sea with the help of a Magura V7 sea drone. This operation changed the perception of air defence.

3. Destruction of two Mi-8 helicopters in the Black Sea. On that day, Ukrainian soldiers for the first time in the world shot down an air target with a sea drone.

4. Maximum number of hits on combat ships and boats. In the period from 2023 to 2024, fighters struck 15 units of the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s ship and boat composition, including landing, patrol, and reconnaissance ships, landing and high-speed boats.

5. The record is also classified as "Number" of hits on combat ships and boats. From 2023 to 2024, DIU managed to sink a significant number of enemy ships and boats.

In total, since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, DIU drones have hit 20 targets, of which 13 were destroyed (5 ships, 3 helicopters, 4 boats, 1 BTR) and 7 were damaged (3 ships, 3 boats, 1 helicopter).
