
In the Darnytskyi district of the capital, law enforcement officers discovered an arsenal of live ammunition and TNT in the apartment of a 49-year-old local resident. The man has been detained, and he has already been charged with the illegal storage of explosives and ammunition.
This is stated in a statement from the Kyiv Police press service.
As reported by the press service, during a search of the local resident’s apartment, law enforcement officers confiscated about 200 cartridges of various calibers for firearms, as well as TNT.
The homeowner, a 49-year-old native of Kyiv, was detained by investigators in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The origin of the ammunition and explosives, as well as the reasons for their storage, are currently being investigated by the police.
"Police have charged the subject under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For the illegal acquisition and storage of explosive devices and ammunition, the suspect faces up to seven years in prison," highlighted the Kyiv Police.
