Law enforcement officers uncovered an international cocaine smuggling route: during a special operation in the Lviv region, two local residents were detained for receiving drugs from the Netherlands through a Ukrainian intermediary.
To document the crime, the police conducted a purchase of 2 kg of cocaine worth approximately 160,000 dollars.
According to the investigation, drugs were smuggled across the border using private postal services and passenger carriers. In addition to drug traffickers, law enforcement also detained a drug courier. During 14 searches, they seized over 2 kg of cocaine, 1.6 kg of MDMA tablets, and over 5,000 ecstasy pills, some of which the perpetrators hid in musical speakers. The investigation is ongoing.
