Major, who is suspected of embezzling military food supplies, will remain under house arrest: court extended the preventive measure
Major Vasyl Osypenko, who is involved in the case of food theft in a military training unit in Desna, will remain under house arrest.
This was reported on Instagram by a serviceman of the 3rd Army Corps through this link.
"Thanks to the publicity, in the case of Major Osypenko, who is accused of selling food intended for servicemen, he has not yet managed to wriggle out. The trial is ongoing, and now his house arrest has been extended until autumn. Let me remind you that this person planned (and probably still plans) to use martial law to ’continue military service’ until its end. That is, to avoid imprisonment, as a long term is looming.
Again, it hasn’t been easy to settle yet, but he supposedly has a connection to one of the combat brigades!? It’s very interesting which combat brigade wants such an ’officer’. Thanks to my friend Slip! Yuriy Butusov! And to all the concerned who helped highlight the situation and care about the ordinary Ukrainian infantryman, and for whom the words dignity and justice are more important than ’nepotism’ or the opportunity to profit! Special thanks to the public organization ’Centuria’!" he noted.
Let me remind you that earlier the deputy commander of the 3rd Army Corps, Dmytro Kukharchuk, stated that the figure in the case of food theft in the military training unit in Desna, Major Vasyl Osypenko, could avoid punishment.
