The European Union plans to allocate 100 billion euros to Ukraine
The EU is considering the possibility of allocating 100 billion euros to Ukraine within the framework of the next seven-year budget, reports Bloomberg.
This covers the period from 2028 to 2034.
According to information from the agency’s sources, the idea is motivated by the fact that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine "shows no signs of ending."
The European Commission’s proposal for the new budget is expected by the end of July. Funding for Kyiv will only be possible after agreement by all member states during budget negotiations.
Bloomberg notes that such a move would further "shift the burden of supporting Ukraine onto Europe rather than the USA."
