Zelenskyy responded to Russia’s strikes on Ukraine: "Ukraine needs protection"

There is no silence in Ukraine. Constant strikes by Russian drones, missiles, aerial bombs.

This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on today’s Russian attacks on Ukraine.

"Russia’s strikes on our people. Another brutality. In Kharkiv, nine people were injured as a result of drone attacks. Among the injured were women in a maternity hospital. Mothers with newborns, women after surgeries. Fortunately, there are no injured children. Russia targets life itself. Even where it only begins. At night, they also struck Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Sumy regions. In the morning, they attacked the Odesa region. Now they are launching new waves again.

There is no silence in Ukraine. Constant strikes by Russian drones, missiles, aerial bombs. That’s why it’s crucial to implement everything agreed upon with partners in Italy as soon as possible. 

Ukraine needs protection. Air defence first of all. Interceptor drones. We talked about this with all partners, there are positive signals, and it is important that they turn into real investments in this technology. Sanctions need to be strengthened. We expect the approval of a new sanctions package. Everything that will pressure and stop Russia must be implemented as soon as possible," Zelenskyy emphasized.
