
Russian military shelled Sumy again on July 13. As a result of today’s enemy attacks, part of the city was left without electricity.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine referring to a statement by the head of the Sumy City Military Administration, Serhiy Kryvosheyenko.
"The enemy is shelling the city’s life-support facilities. Part of the city and critical infrastructure facilities are without power," emphasized the head of the SCMA.
He noted that all services are currently working.
"We are awaiting the restoration of power supply," added Kryvosheyenko.
Later, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, confirmed that the Sumy community is under attack from enemy drones.
According to him, Russian drone activity has been recorded in Sumy and on approaches to the city throughout the day.
One of the drones hit a critical infrastructure facility.
"Part of the city was temporarily left without power supply. A number of important institutions have been switched to backup power," he explained.
According to the head of the RMA, specialists are working promptly to eliminate the consequences of the attack in order to restore electricity to the residents of the district as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, the acting Sumy city mayor, Artem Kobzar, reported that three hospitals have already been left without power due to the Russian attack.
