The Cabinet of Ministers will be headed by the Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyrydenko: what personnel changes are expected

After it was officially announced that the Cabinet of Ministers would be headed by the Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyrydenko, let’s recall the latest rumors about other changes expected in the government.

The Prime Minister Shmyhal, who has resigned, may be appointed as the Minister of Defence. The Minister of Digital Transformation Fedorov is also being considered for this position.

The current Minister of Defence Umyerov may be appointed as the Ambassador to the United States instead of Markarova, as his family lives there.

The Ministers of Health Lyashko and Education Lisovyi may be dismissed.

Options for merging some ministries are also being considered. In particular, the future of the Ministry of National Unity, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Chernyshov, who is suspected in a corruption criminal case, is in question.

It should be noted that if Umyerov is not retained in some position within the government and is indeed sent as an ambassador to the United States, it will at least mean that the Ukrainian delegation in negotiations with Russia in Istanbul will have a new leader.

Or it may mean that Kyiv does not foresee further participation in the negotiations at all.
