Zelenskyy confirmed that he wants to appoint Shmyhal as the Minister of Defence

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in his evening address, confirmed the intention to see Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in the position of Ukraine’s Minister of Defence.

“The immense experience of Denys Shmyhal will undoubtedly be needed in the role of Ukraine’s Minister of Defence – precisely in this area, the country’s maximum resources, goals, and significant responsibilities are concentrated,” noted Zelenskyy.
