Reshuffles in the Cabinet: who may be dismissed and who will take the seats, - MP
Member of Parliament Zheleznyak reports the latest news about the new government composition, which is planned to be updated in the next two days.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal is resigning and becoming the new Minister of Defence. Rustem Umerov is going to the USA as an ambassador. The head of the Ministry of Strategic Industries, Herman Smetanin, is losing his position, and his ministry will be merged with the Ministry of Defence.
The new Prime Minister will be Yuliya Svyrydenko, who currently heads the Ministry of Economy.
The Ministry of Economy will be merged with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the Ministry of Ecology into the Ministry of Resources, which will be headed by Oleksii Sobolev, the deputy of Svyrydenko. The Minister of Agrarian Policy, Vitaliy Koval, is losing his position. He is offered to return to the post of Head of the State Property Fund.
The Ministry of Justice will be headed by Herman Halushchenko, who currently works at the Ministry of Energy. Svitlana Hrynchuk, who currently works at the Ministry of Ecology, will be appointed to his place.
Mykhailo Fedorov will become the first Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister for Digitalization.
Oleksiy Kuleba will be the Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration.
Ihor Klymenko may be promoted to Deputy Prime Minister for Security, but he will definitely remain in his position as the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Olha Stefanishyna is losing her position as Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and is going as an ambassador to the European Union. Taras Kachka, who currently serves as Deputy of the Ministry of Economy, will replace her as the new Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration.
The head of the Ministry of Reintegration, Oleksiy Chernyshov, against whom a criminal case has been initiated, is being dismissed, and his ministry, created just last year, will be merged with another department.
The Cabinet Ministry will be liquidated, and Oleh Nemchynov will be dismissed.
Matviy Bidny will retain his position as Minister of Sports.
Denys Ulyutin, who is the Deputy Minister of Finance, will take the position of Minister of Social Policy instead of Oksana Zholnovych.
Nataliya Kalmykova will retain her position as Minister for Veterans Affairs.
Minister of Education Oksen Lisovyi and Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko will retain their positions, despite rumors of their resignation.
The head of the Ministry of Finance, Serhiy Marchenko, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiha, will also remain in their positions.
The head of the Ministry of Culture, Mykola Tochytskyi, is going as an ambassador to Strasbourg. A replacement has not yet been determined, with rumors suggesting Veronika Seleha.
