In the Kharkiv region, a young man broke into the TRC and attacked a police officer

In the Kharkiv region, a 20-year-old young man broke into the premises of the TRC and hit a police officer. The incident occurred in the village of Kehychivka, Berestynskyi district.

During their duty, the police were checking the documents of a local resident who, according to the database, was wanted as a person evading mobilization.

The draft evader was transferred to the Berestynskyi district TRC. It was at this moment that a 20-year-old local resident burst into the military enlistment office.

"The young man behaved aggressively and resisted the police officers – he hit one of the law enforcement officers. As a result, the police officer sustained bodily injuries," the police reported. Whether the draft evader and the attacker were acquainted is not specified by the police.

The attacker was detained. Criminal proceedings have been initiated for the attack under Part 2 of Article 345 (threat or violence against a law enforcement officer).

Currently, the issue of notifying the man of suspicion is being resolved. He faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to five years.
