In Volyn, a scheme was uncovered: the entrepreneur who won the tender for catering in Shatsk National Park had their business "squeezed" — the park’s director is involved

The journalists of "Skhemy" found out that the business of the entrepreneur, who officially won the tender for organizing catering at the "Hart" base of the Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University in the Shatsk National Park, was actually "taken away."

Now this business is registered to another — a proxy — entrepreneur, with the personal assistance of the park’s director, Mariya Khrystetska.

As Anatoliy Herasymyuk, the director of the base, explained, the university had previously signed a five-year contract with an entrepreneur who provided catering not only during the season but also during off-season events, including conferences. The businessman also provided free meals for the staff. Everything changed last year when the park’s director allegedly demanded to "come to an amicable agreement" and transfer control over the food outlets to her. When the refusal did not work, the lease agreement was simply not renewed.

After that, another entrepreneur started working on the territory — pensioner Ivan Duzhych, a former park employee. He himself told journalists that he has nothing to do with the business and is simply "registered" as an entrepreneur — because he is a pensioner, and the taxes are lower. Duzhych confirmed that he was personally asked by Director Khrystetska, and in return, he was given a job.

Lawyers see signs of a conflict of interest in the actions, as well as possible violations of anti-corruption legislation.
