Lithuania will help purchase a Patriot for Ukraine: they plan to allocate 30 million euros

Lithuania announced its intention to participate in the purchase of American Patriot air defence systems for Ukraine. It is planned to allocate up to 30 million euros.

During the visit of the Baltic defence ministers to the United States, Lithuanian Defence Minister Dovile Šakaliene stated that the country plans to participate in the procurement of American long-range Patriot air defence systems for Ukraine.

"Lithuania is ready to join the purchase of Patriot for Ukraine, manufactured in the United States. And also, as the only NATO defence minister sanctioned by China, I am truly aware of what’s at stake," she added.

After the meeting with US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, she stated that Lithuania plans to allocate up to 30 million euros to achieve this goal.
