Witkoff is confident that the United States will reach a peace agreement regarding Ukraine and Russia
The US seeks a peaceful agreement regarding Ukraine and Russia, said Trump’s special envoy Witkoff.
«We will resolve the issue between Russia and Ukraine and achieve a peaceful agreement - because it is necessary. The President is right: this war should not have started. I believe we will find a solution, and hopefully, this will become a turning point», he said in an interview with Lara Trump, the US President’s daughter-in-law.
Witkoff also noted that ending the war in Ukraine is the main goal of his work with Trump.
When asked what he would like to accomplish by the end of his diplomatic career, the special envoy replied: «The settlement of the situation between Russia and Ukraine and the achievement of a peaceful agreement».
