Russia is modernizing "Shaheds": Fedorov told about the occupiers’ plans
The Russian army is already implementing various solutions that will allow "Shaheds" to avoid Ukrainian interceptor drones. At the moment, Ukraine is implementing other methods.
This was reported by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov during the national telethon.
According to him, the invaders will soon inevitably switch to jet drones. Therefore, Ukraine must start working on solving this problem now.
"The development of technology is similar to a blitz in chess, meaning everything changes very quickly, and new decisions need to be made constantly... Russia will inevitably switch to jet drones, and we need to start working on this already," Fedorov noted.
He pointed out that if today there is already a certain rate of "Shahed" interceptions by drones, the situation might change tomorrow, as Russia is developing very quickly.
"They are already implementing different solutions that allow "Shaheds" to avoid interceptors, and we are working on other solutions. Therefore, the change in tactics happens every day," the minister said.
"Shaheds" Interceptors
According to Fedorov, Ukraine has already signed contracts with at least four companies that are developing large-scale solutions for interceptors.
"There are certain positive technological solutions that use high technologies, which usually take years to develop, and these solutions have already been found and are being used. Therefore, how quickly we obtain a sufficient number of interceptors depends on the scaling of production," Fedorov explained.
The minister emphasized that Russia continues attacks on Ukrainian critical infrastructure and production.
"In parallel with scaling and finding personnel for this, purchasing components, businesses are forced to constantly change locations and work on the security of their production. The state is also trying to help as much as possible," Fedorov stressed.
