Zelenskyy: Ukraine is transitioning to new aviation platforms
On the Day of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, August 3, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the approval of new stages of modernization of Ukrainian combat aviation.
The Head of State reported that Ukraine is taking further steps in implementing new aviation platforms and continues the integration of the Air Force with the forces of partner countries.
The ultimate goal is the complete and effective integration of the Air Force of Ukraine with NATO structures. According to Zelenskyy, this approach will strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities and at the same time enhance the security of all of Europe.
The President thanked the personnel of the Air Force for their daily service, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, both in interaction between state institutions and in partnership with allies and the professional community.
Zelenskyy also addressed the military personnel defending the Ukrainian sky. He thanked those repelling enemy attacks, shooting down planes, drones, and missiles, and striking the enemy from the air.
Special thanks were expressed to pilots, anti-aircraft gunners, engineers, technicians, and instructors – all those who ensure the operation of the aviation forces and help fight against Russian terror. The President also released a video featuring footage of the work of Ukrainian aviation and air defence.
