NGU fighters showed how they confused a unit of the Russian Armed Forces that had infiltrated Pokrovsk

In Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, fighters from the "Rubizh" brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine discovered Russian occupiers hiding in a cellar during a street sweep. The Ukrainians lulled the enemy soldiers’ vigilance and quickly eliminated them. The combat footage is posted on the YouTube channel of the "Rubizh" brigade.

"Our warriors, noticing the enemy’s presence very close by, did not lose their composure and started a conversation with the occupiers in Russian. Not understanding who they were talking to, the enemy infantry was confused and, as a result, destroyed," the "Rubizh" brigade reported.

In the footage captured by a helmet-mounted camera of one of the fighters, it is visible how two Ukrainian soldiers were conducting a sweep of the streets in the private sector of Pokrovsk. They realized that a group of occupiers was hiding in a cellar in the yard of a house.

"Khokhly, surrender," one of the fighters shouted in Russian, addressing the occupiers.

The Russians reacted and responded that they were "their own" from the 5th battalion, demanding a password. In response, the Ukrainians identified themselves as fighters from the 9th battalion of the Russian Armed Forces and ordered them to come out, as they did not trust that they were really Russians.

The occupiers began to panic in the cellar, which the Ukrainian soldiers took advantage of, throwing grenades at them. Afterward, the National Guard members checked the adjacent houses for the presence of enemies, as seen in the video from the "Rubizh" brigade.
