Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, 322 artists and media professionals have died

"Since the full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the war has claimed the lives of 214 artists and 108 Ukrainian and foreign media workers. These figures not only indicate the scale of the losses but also serve as a reminder of the tragic pages of our history. Just as in the 1920s and early 1930s, the Stalinist regime destroyed a generation of Ukrainian artists, today Russia is consciously destroying Ukraine’s cultural elite," the statement noted.
