Syrskyi: The Kursk operation was prepared in secrecy — planned by only 3–4 people
The Kursk operation, which has been ongoing for over a year, was prepared by three to four individuals.
This was reported with reference to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, in an interview with TSN.
According to the Commander-in-Chief, a "very limited number of people" were involved in the planning. Even the commanders, according to Syrskyi, did not know where and when the actions would take place.
"The commanders knew they would be involved in certain offensive actions. They were preparing their units but didn’t know where and when. Then, when they received specific combat orders, they ensured the preservation of this information at their level," the Commander-in-Chief explained.
