Mayor in style: Klychko on vacation "showed off" a vintage T-shirt worth 1700 hryvnias

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko has taken a five-day vacation from August 11 to 15, 2025. Already on the second day of his vacation, he attended a court hearing regarding a change in the preventive measure for his deputy, Volodymyr Prokopiv, and "showed off" a rare stylish t-shirt in the "cyber grunge" style. Such a t-shirt is inexpensive, costing up to 2,000 UAH, but it is impossible to find in Ukraine, and there are only a few copies left worldwide.

The fact that the mayor went on vacation was announced by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, his political opponent. On Tuesday evening, August 12, he made a social media post complaining that due to the vacation of the head of the "civil" administration of the capital, he could not convene a meeting of the Kyiv Defence Council. He also attached a scanned copy of Klitschko’s vacation order: according to the document, he took a very short annual leave for 5 days, from August 11 to 15.

However, already on the second day of his vacation, the mayor of Kyiv attended a session at the Holosiivskyi District Court of the capital, where a hearing on changing the preventive measure for Volodymyr Prokopiv was taking place. A photo from the courtroom was "revealed" by Viktor Domahalskyi, Prokopiv’s lawyer and Klitschko’s colleague in the deputy corps. This is not the first time Klitschko has supported Prokopiv during hearings, but this time the process proved successful for the politician: the judge removed his electronic bracelet and even allowed him to attend Kyiv City Council meetings, softening the round-the-clock house arrest to "nighttime" restrictions.

Notably, this time Vitaliy Klychko "showed off" a seemingly new black t-shirt with a peculiar print at the court. It turned out that this piece of clothing is not ordinary for the mayor: it is an Xtreme Couture Grunge Cyber Y2K Style t-shirt (Xtreme Couture in the "grunge cyber Y2K" style). This is quite an interesting wardrobe item - the Xtreme Couture brand from the USA was founded by the famous MMA fighter Randy Couture.

It is almost impossible to buy a t-shirt like the one Klychko has. Although its price is not too high - about 1,700 UAH - it is sold only on a few websites in the USA and Canada (as seen in the screenshot), and it can also be found in "lightly used" condition for true brand enthusiasts at a price of a few "bucks." However, on the mayor, it looks great and appears fresh - therefore, he likely purchased his "Grunge Cyber Y2K Style" recently and brand new. Could this t-shirt have turned out to be "lucky" - both for Klitschko and for Volodymyr Prokopiv, who will finally be able to return to full leadership of the faction in the Kyiv City Council?
