In Ukraine, fraudsters have become more active: under the guise of a delivery service, they steal bank card data
A new fraudulent scheme has emerged in Ukraine: people receive SMS messages about alleged issues with parcel delivery, along with a link to "confirm their address." By clicking on it, users risk handing over their personal data and bank card details to scammers.
Scammers send SMS or iMessage texts claiming that a parcel has supposedly arrived at a warehouse but cannot be delivered due to an "incomplete or incorrect address."

The message includes a link to a suspicious website designed to look like a delivery service. The text even provides instructions to copy and paste the link into a browser if it doesn’t open immediately. This is a typical tactic to ensure the person visits a phishing page. On the website, scammers usually ask to "confirm" the address or pay for redelivery, requiring the input of:
- full name;
- phone number;
- residential address;
- bank card details.
In this way, fraudsters obtain everything they need to steal money from the accounts of unsuspecting users. To avoid falling victim to scammers, pay attention to obvious signs of a fraudulent message:
- the message comes from an unfamiliar international number;
- the text contains errors or unnatural phrasing;
- there is time pressure: "confirm your address within 24 hours, or the parcel will be returned";
- there is a suggestion to click on short or strange links leading to third-party websites.
- ignore and delete such messages;
- never click on suspicious links or enter personal or banking information on such sites;
- check information about your orders only through the official websites or apps of delivery services or stores;
- if card details have already been entered, immediately contact your bank and block the account.
