Rubio: Ukraine has destroyed nearly 20,000 Russian soldiers in the last month

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio believes that Ukraine destroyed nearly 20,000 Russian soldiers in the past month alone. This is an indicator of how costly the war is for Russians.

US Secretary of State Rubio stated this.

According to the US Secretary of State, Washington is currently trying to find a "middle ground" between the positions of the two hostile states. The war is becoming significantly more complex: Russians still believe they have "momentum," while Ukrainians are on the defensive, inflicting staggering losses on Russian forces.

"I think just last month, 20,000 Russian soldiers were killed in a single month in this war. So, Ukrainians have caused enormous damage to the Russians as a result of this. Both sides are very entrenched," he said.

Rubio added that the issue of reconciliation between the two sides is complicated, but the US is not giving up on working toward it.

"This is a difficult issue, but we will continue to work on it because the president has made it a priority to try to end a war that should never have happened," the Secretary of State concluded.
