Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance at the operational-tactical level may "cease to exist as a form of systematic activity" in the coming months due to intensified Russian resistance.
This was reported by military officer Serafym Hordiyenko.
According to him, the Russians are actively forming a layered line of FPV interceptors, which prevent Ukrainian reconnaissance drones from penetrating 15-20 km into Russian territory, and without this capability, targeting becomes impossible.
"Currently, they are not systematically shooting down drones at night, but it is only a matter of time. Ascending higher (to 4,000 or 5,000 meters) also yields no results, as the enemy has learned to shoot down drones at such altitudes. Conducting «sectoral reconnaissance» in most directions is currently impossible," Hordiyenko writes.
According to available data, in some areas during the day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are no longer even attempting to launch drones, which creates opportunities for enemy maneuvers.
Gordienko claims that systemic solutions are needed to address this situation.
