The Russian Volunteer Corps and Ukrainian defenders successfully thwarted the enemy’s offensive. In particular, the occupiers failed to penetrate the Dnipropetrovsk region.
This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
Among others, the units of the RVC, "Brotherhood" from the "Special Unit of Timur" under the DIU of the MoD, as well as soldiers of the 5th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine participated in this joint operation.
"(The military - ed.) successfully stopped the enemy’s breakthrough attempt in Donetsk region and prevented the advancement of Russian forces towards the borders of the Dnipropetrovsk region," the message reads.
The DIU reports that during the assault operations and clean-ups, RVC soldiers captured 16 Russian occupiers. Among the captives are the so-called "banner-bearers" who were supposed to film fake news about the "capture" of Ukrainian settlements, including the village of Andriivka-Klevtsove.
The fighters also showed a video featuring assaults, the work of tank crews, precise drone strikes, as well as footage of capturing Russian soldiers.
"The intelligence officers emphasize: the appearance with weapons and ’tricolors’ on our land ends the same way - with destruction," DIU emphasized.
