Russian media once again spread manipulations regarding the Kursk NPP, accusing Ukraine of allegedly posing a threat to nuclear safety.

This is reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

It is reported that a transformer unit, which is not part of the nuclear section of the station, caught fire, allegedly due to the downing of a Ukrainian drone.

At the same time, the IAEA states that it has no independent confirmation of data about "a fire resulting from military actions."

The Center for Countering Disinformation notes that such statements by Russia are a typical propaganda tactic aimed at discrediting Ukraine and justifying its own aggression.

Russia has repeatedly spread similar fakes in the past. In reality, the threat to nuclear safety is created by Russia itself, which controls the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
