Sumy under massive drone attack: more than 10 explosions and a fire recorded

The Russian army is intensively attacking Sumy with strike drones of the "Shahed" type. Sounds of explosions were heard.

This was reported with reference to the acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar.

"Currently, Sumy is experiencing one of the largest enemy drone attacks. The explosions you heard earlier were related to one of the starosta districts," Kobzar noted.

According to him, a fire broke out at the site of the strike. No information about casualties has been reported.

He also warned of the possibility of repeated drone strikes, so residents of the city are urged to stay in safe places if possible.

Meanwhile, the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, stated that the massive Russian attack on the Sumy region has been ongoing for almost a day.

"Enemy drones have struck the Sumy community again. There are also hits in the Romny community," he said.

Preliminarily, there are no casualties in either community, and the information is being clarified.

Inspection and elimination of consequences are ongoing at the sites of the strikes.
