Consul of Ukraine in Wroclaw Yurii Tokar resigns
The Ukrainian consul in Wrocław is resigning and leaving Poland.
Yurii Tokar is leaving his post as the Consul General of Ukraine in Wrocław after 5 years of service. The country’s authorities have assigned him a new mission: he will become the Ambassador of Ukraine to Kenya. The name of the new Consul General in Wrocław has not yet been announced.
Tokar bid farewell to Wrocław on Sunday, during Ukraine’s Independence Day celebration.
"We thank you for your open hearts and homes, open to millions of Ukrainians. For your bravery when others hesitated. For your weapons, for your help in the early days of the invasion. This is assistance that, without a doubt, without it we could not celebrate independence today. These are not just gestures. This is the lives of our children, our families. This is our freedom. Therefore, we will always remember that during times of trials, Poland stood with Ukraine," he wrote.
