An entrepreneur from the Poltava region and his five accomplices have been notified of suspicion in conducting business activities in cooperation with the aggressor state.

This is reported by the Poltava Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigation, the entrepreneur created and controlled several companies specializing in the production and sale of medical and cosmetology equipment. Despite the ban, he organized illegal supplies of products to Russia, including to an enterprise headed by a consultant of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

To bypass sanctions, controlled structures of other countries were used. Officially, the equipment was declared for European or Central Asian markets, but in fact, it was supplied to Russian companies.

In 2022-2024, at least seven batches of equipment were shipped under this scheme. Financial transactions were conducted through international banking institutions. The mechanism involved directors and employees of enterprises engaged in product manufacturing, contract signing, customs clearance, and logistics.

The investigation established that the equipment was used in Russia, including in medical programs for the rehabilitation of military personnel who participated in the war against Ukraine.

The organizer of the scheme is currently hiding from the investigation and has been declared wanted. The investigation is ongoing, conducted by the SSU under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office.
